According to L’Équipe with data taken from the CIES Football Observatory, Kylian Mbappé’s market value is still worth €200m as of the 1st October, and has not seemed to have been severely impacted by the player’s recent turmoil with bot his club and his country (over image rights).
The paper say that apart of Erling Haaland, there is no other equivalent player in terms of sporting and commercial value who can compete with the Frenchman. The kind of sporting profile that Kylian Mbappé possesses is rare to find, or simply doesn’t exist elsewhere.
By next summer, the player will again find himself in a strong position if he asks to leave, as he will be a year away from the end of his contract. And unless he takes the risk of being released in 2024, a lower fee would have to accepted for him.
