L’Équipe report that Rennes are facing an offensive from China for Senegalese international attacker Mbaye Niang, who they purchased for €15m from Torino earlier at the end of May.

The 24-year-old is under contract with SRFC with 2023, but a Chinese club has made a considerable offer, but the identity of the side has not yet filtered through.
A meeting with an agent mandated by this unnamed club and the player’s advisors is due to occur in the coming days – the opening salary offer to the player is expecting be worth €10m a year net (including bonuses) on a 5-year deal.
Rennes have also been informed of this interest, and are expecting to receive an offer worth close to €25m. Niang does not want to consider the proposal until his participation at AFCON with Senegal is over.
