WWE Superstar Rich Swann Arrested on Suspicion of Kidnap/Battery

According to local news reports in the U.S., WWE Superstar Rich Swann has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and battery. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion is said to have been arrested early this morning at 12.09am in Gainesville, Florida.
Alachua County Sheriff in Florida said that the 26-year-old WWE Superstar faces allegations of kidnapping/false imprisonment of an adult and battery. Kidnapping/false imprisonment in Florida is a third-degree felony and is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of $5,000. Battery is a first-degree misdemeanor in Florida with penalties of up to one year in jail or 12 months probation and a $1,000 fine.
Swann was scheduled to face Drew Gulak this coming Monday on RAW to determine the number one contender for Enzo Amore’s Cruiserweight Title. Because of the arrest, the match is now likely to be canceled. Swann is reportedly being held in custody in Alachua County Jail. As of this moment, WWE has not yet commented on the incident.
