Togi Makabe Wants Fans To Be Loud At WrestleKingdom 12

In a new video on the New Japan English Youtube site, “The Unchained Gorilla” Togi Makabe sends out a message hyping up WrestleKingdm 12 coming up on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome and encourages fans to cheer loud for the show. For those who do not speak Japanese, you might want to turn on the subtitles to understand what the big guy has to say.
 

Interestingly, as of yet, Makabe is not sighed for a specific match for the show. So if things go as they are, the vet of 20 years will be wrestling during the pre-show New Japan Rumble that is held to kick things off for the early audiences. The rumble is held during the Wrestlekingdom pre-show and features not only those not scheduled for bigger matches on the main card but international stars and well as older veterans making an appearance for the fans.
Makabe has had quite a rough years as his longtime tag team partner Tomoaki Honma was injured with a serious neck injury and Togi has had to go it alone. He hasn’t been put in many big name feuds or had any headlining title shots, and the only show with him as a centerpiece was his card celebrating his 20 years as a wrestler. His duties lately have been to wrestle the younger wrestlers to give them experience in the early matches on the NJPW cards.
