Shane McMahon Makes Major Announcement On His Commissioner Status, Reveals New WrestleMania Match

As was seen tonight on WWE Smackdown Live, Shane McMahon was slated to make a big announcement regarding WrestleMania.

Shane McMahon hit us with not one, but two big announcements tonight. He first addressed his actions at WWE Fastlane, in which he got involved in the match by costing both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn wins, first by pulling out the referee and then by pulling Sami Zayn out of the ring during a pinning combination.

Shane told the story about his long involvement with Owens & Zayn, and talked about Kevin’s initial attack on his father, Vince McMahon, their Hell In A Cell Match, and ultimately everything that happened at Fastlane. He said that effective next week, he will be separating himself from the situation and taking a leave of absence as WWE Smackdown Live Commissioner.

Right after that bombshell, Shane announced a big match directly affecting the two men that he has personal problems with, and put Kevin Owens in a one on one match with his (former?) best friend, Sami Zayn at WrestleMania.

This led to a confrontation between Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn with Shane McMahon leading to Owens & Zayn beating the hell out of Shane McMahon. Owens & Zayn seemed to be on the same page, and slammed a chair onto the throat and face of Shane McMahon, and then powerbombed him onto some equipment backstage, leaving Shane in what looked to be serious pain. As of now, the match between Owens & Zayn stands, but it has yet to be seen if they truly will remain on the same page. Check out the updated card below.
