Hull City insist Tottenham and Everton transfer target Jarrod Bowen will not be sold in January

Hull City star Jarrod Bowen will not be sold in the January transfer window, the club’s vice-chairman Ehab Allam says.

Bowen, who has scored 11 goals in 26 games this season, has been linked with moves to Premier League club Tottenham, Everton and Leicester City.

But Allam is not prepared to let any of Hull’s key players leave this month.

He said: “Our recent fantastic run of results has given everyone at the club and supporters fresh optimism as we embark on the second half of the season.

“To build on this positive momentum on the pitch we have no intention of selling key players.

“We are currently working closely with Nigel to support him to further enhance our squad, and therefore give us a great opportunity to close the gap to the top six and end the season on a high.

“The recent form is a testament to the hard work and dedication that goes on behind the scenes at the club, so a big thank you to Nigel, the players, and all of our staff.”

Bowen, 22, was named Championship Player of the Month for December, a month during which Nigel Adkins’ men distanced themselves from the relegation zone.

Hull have won six of their last seven league matches to climb up to 13th in the table.
