Everton transfer latest: Three players could leave but Cedric Soares, Edin Dzeko and Ryan Fraser to sign?

Everton need more firepower if they are to challenge for a European place in the second half of the season.

The Toffees are two points behind seventh place Watford despite winning just twice in nine league games.

It is expected they will complete some deals before the January transfer window closes at the end of the month, but who could be arriving and leaving Goodison Park over the next two-and-a-half weeks?

talkSPORT.com round up some of the biggest Everton transfer gossip below…

Incomings

Italian publication II Messaggero claims Marco Silva wants to sign former Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko, who has 18 months left on his Roma deal.

Silva has been forced to play Richarlison as a makeshift striker after losing faith in Cenk Tosun. The experienced striker, 32, would bring a much-needed goal threat to the Toffees’ frontline.

The Sun reports Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser is a £15million target for Goodison Park chiefs. Only Eden Hazard (10) has more assists than the Scotland winger’s nine.

The Daily Star says Silva wants more competition for Seamus Coleman and is keeping tabs on Southampton defender Cedric Soares.

The Portugal full-back, who is valued at £15million, has been a Premier League regular since joining the Saints in 2015.

Everton have made a move to pay Espanyol striker Borja Iglesias’ €28million, Marca claims. He has scored nine goals and assisted two to help the Spanish club climb to ninth in La Liga.

Outgoings

Ademola Lookman has started just two Premier League games under Silva and has been targeted by new Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, according to Goal.

The pair worked together at RB Leipzig last year.

TEAMtalk claim Cardiff have made an approach to sign Oumar Niasse, who has appeared just seven times this term. Defender-turned-striker Callum Paterson is the club’s top scorer with four strikes – and the Bluebirds will need more goals to guarantee their top-flight status.

French outlet L’Equipe reports Idrissa Gueye is being ‘courted’ by Paris Saint-Germain. The article says manager Thomas Tuchel has spoken to the £30million-rated midfielder to explain how he’d be used in his system.
