The build to Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36 continued with Charlotte defeating Bianca Belair in the main event of last night’s NXT.
The match was the first time Charlotte has wrestled in NXT since 2015. After getting the win, she attacked Belair in a post-match angle and targeted her leg. She went to attack Belair’s leg with a steel chair and put her in the Figure Eight until Ripley came down to the ring.
Johnny Gargano made his returnĀ for the first time since turning against Tommaso Ciampa at TakeOver: Portland. He brawled with Ciampa following Ciampa’s match against Austin Theory, with Gargano laying Ciampa out after getting an assist from Theory.
WALTER looks to be what’s next for Finn Balor, with Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner ambushing Balor on behalf of the NXT United Kingdom Champion.
