Female NXT wrestlers Abbey Laith and Sage Beckett were both released from WWE last week due to simple cutbacks that the company has been making as of late. Unfortunately, it seems that another name has just been cut from the developmental brand. According to a recent report from Squared Circle Sirens, Christy St. Cloud has just been released from the company. St. Cloud formerly worked for AfterBuzz TV before joining NXT as a backstage interviewer late last year. The news of St. Cloud’s release still has yet to be confirmed by WWE or the woman herself, but the belief is that Christy was officially let go from her contract with the company earlier today.
Dean Ambrose had been injury-free throughout his WWE career until he received a torn triceps tendon last year. As reported earlier, Ambrose just recently visited Birmingham, Alabama for a medical examination and an update on the status of his injury, but PWInsider just confirmed earlier today that all of Ambrose’s upcoming signings and appearances have been cancelled. While these events may not have any correlation with his injury, this could also indicate that Ambrose’s injury could be keeping him out of action longer than expected. Ambrose has been confirmed to miss WrestleMania this year, and as of right now, he is still not expected to return to the ring until at least August of this year.
Shinsuke Nakamura has been on a roll in WWE as of late. The Smackdown Superstar won the Royal Rumble match earlier this year and he will be facing AJ Styles for the WWE Championship in April at WrestleMania in what several fans are calling a ‘dream match.’ As a result, VIZ Media has decided to release an English version of Nakamura’s autobiography titled King of Strong Style: 1980-2014. PWInsider has just reported that the book will finally be re-released by the Manga publisher later on this year. The book will not be ready to be sold in time for his match at WrestleMania, but a press release has confirmed that the English version of Nakamura’s autobiography will be ready to be sold on August 7th.
