It has been a night of tragedy for wrestling fans as it was first confirmed that WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff passed away earlier today before it was later announced that Brickhouse Brown and Brian “Grandmaster Sexay” Christopher had also died. Unfortunately, it has now also been reported that Tracy Caddell has died as well. Caddell was an independent wrestler from North Carolina who helped launch the OMEGA promotion several years ago. Additionally, Caddell is the also father of current Impact Wrestling Superstar Trevor Lee. Fellow OMEGA mainstays Matt Hardy and Shane Helms, as well as several other wrestlers, paid tribute to Caddell online shortly after the news of his death was reported earlier today.
I just learned that @TLee910 lost his father today as well. Trevor my friend, your Dad was incredibly proud of you. I’m very sorry for your loss.

Heartbroken by the passing of my friend, Tracy Caddell, father of Trevor Caddell. Tracy & I founded ECWF, which became OMEGA, together in 92. Tracy was physically limited after a bad accident in 93, so he eventually became @TLee910’s biggest supporter & promoter. RIP, my brother. pic.twitter.com/MvncKpdewL

One of the breakout stars in the recent WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament will have to step away from the ring for a while in order to recover from an injury. PROGRESS Wrestling alerted fans earlier today that Travis Banks dislocated a shoulder and will be unable to work the upcoming Coast to Coast tour in the United States for the promotion. The former PROGRESS World Champion commented on his injury by apologizing to fans and simply promising to be back in the ring again as soon as possible. Banks made an impression in NXT UK earlier this year when he made it to the finals of the WWE UK Championship Tournament, but he was ultimately defeated by Zack Gibson.
BREAKING: @Travis_BanksPW suffered a dislocated shoulder on Friday night and is OUT of the #CoastToCoast tour. We’ll have news on his replacement as soon as we can get it all finalised. pic.twitter.com/xqzS1jGSs4

As reported earlier in the week, there have reportedly been some serious talks taking place within WWE recently about having Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson return for another match at WrestleMania 35 next year. The topic came up again during the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, and it was mentioned that one of the leading matches that WWE could be putting together if The Rock does decide to wrestle again in April is a singles bout between “The Great One” and Raw Superstar Roman Reigns. The Rock and Reigns come from the same family as Roman is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoa’i while Johnson is part of the same family tree, so WWE considers the match to be a great idea from a business perspective.
