All-American Bosch Finishes 8th at D2 National Wrestling Championships

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Minnesota State University Moorhead sophomore Blake Bosch finished eighth and earned All-American honors at 133 pounds at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo.

Bosch became MSUM’s first All-American since Corey Ulmer accomplished the feat at 125 pounds in 2012. He was one of 31 All-Americans from Super Region 3, which was by far the most of any of the four regions competing at nationals.

The Wishek, N.D., native went 2-1 during Friday’s opening day. On Saturday he faced St. Cloud State’s Mike Rhone in the consolation bracket and fell by a 9-2 decision, dropping Bosch into the seventh-place match.

He faced Nick Crume of Indianapolis in the seventh-place match and suffered a tough 8-6 overtime loss to end the day.

Bosch finished the season as an All-American with a 27-12 record.
