In Cagliari, Italy on (October 31 2014) the dates and structure for groups 2 and 3 at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix were decided during a meeting by the Grand Prix Council.
This tournament is scheduled to start on June 26 2015 and end on August the 1st of the same year. With Group 1 finals being held in Omaha, USA from the 22nd to the 26th of July.

Group 2 matches for the 2015 tournament will begin on the 3rd of July with the second round of this Group playing the following week 10th July. With the finals for this group being held from the 31st of July to the August 1st in Poland.

Some tough teams in there is its sure to be some close games and possible unexpected knockouts throughout the competition, check out full team bio’s from last year’s competition here. Teams from Group 3 will begin just one week earlier than Group 2, from June the 26th with their second round starting on July 3rd the weekend of Group 2’s first round. With finals being undertaken on July 10th in Australia.

The way it will work is the hosts and the three highest teams from each group will qualify for their respective finals, which are played on the dates outlined above, meaning that we have 4 teams in the final for both groups.
The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was expanded to 28 countries for the first time in 2013 in an effort to spread the game and its viewers to new territories that had since been unknown in the world of Volleyball.

Last year (2014) at the 10th FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix we saw Brazil go home with the title, and Japan took home their first ever medal in the tournament, picking up Silver. The groups are well split up this year, and we could easily see any of these teams going home with the Gold, we will just have to wait and see how everything unfolds!
