On Sunday, the National Investigation Agency arrested two people from Hyderabad for creating a module to spread Islamic State ideology and planning alleged attacks in the city.
Abdullah Basith, (24 years old) and Mohammad Abdul Qhadeer, (19 years old) were arrested on grounds of reviving the IS ideology in Hyderabad. Agency officials recovered precursor material including digital devices that are required to make an Intensive Explosive Device (IED), reported TOI.
Basith is an Islamic State terror group operative and nephew of former Students Islamic Movement Of India (SIMI) president, Syed Salahuddin, who has been twice warned in the past to drop extremist views.
