India’s First Rohingya Refugee To Pass Class 12 Is Unable To Get Admission In College Due To High Fee

Tasmida Johar, the first Rohingya refugee to clear boards exams in India, may not able to study in Jamia Millia Islamia – the university of her dreams, because of the higher tuition fee. Twenty-one-year-old Tasmida had applied for the 5-year BA LLB course under the foreign students’ quota at the university.

The foreign students are required to pay higher fee because the university doesn’t take entrance exam for foreign students. Under foreign students’ quota at the university, the course will cost Tasmida more than Rs 10 lakh.
