Sergio Aguero could make his Manchester City return when they face Wolves on Monday evening.
City’s prolific striker missed their two cup wins over Rotherham and Burton with a sickness bug.
But he has returned to first-team training ahead of their showdown with in-form Wolves.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola explained: “He was sick right after the game against Liverpool.
“He is a little bit better, and today was his first training session.”
Meanwhile, captain Vincent Kompany is a doubt for the Wolves clash with a muscle injury.
Guardiola is wary of ninth-placed Wolves and hailed their performances to date this season.
He added: “We realised in the first game how complicated they would be.
“They are strong physically and make good runs in counter-attacks. They defend well and deep, they control many areas.
“That is why they are doing incredibly well in the Premier League.”
