Manchester United’s interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Marcus Rashford has the potential to be as good as Harry Kane.
Rashford has scored three goals in Solskjaer’s first five matches in charge of the Red Devils.
The 21-year-old has 39 goals for the Red Devils in 148 matches and still has some way to go to reach the level of the Tottenham Hotspur captain.
Kane has 122 Premier League goals and has won the Golden Boot twice despite still only being 25.
Solskjaer, though, thinks Rashford has all the attributes to reach the same level as the Spurs man.
The Norwegian has shown faith in Rashford and played him as a striker rather than using him out wide like he was under Mourinho.
“We can talk about Harry Kane and his class. Marcus has the potential to get up there also,” he said.
“He is very exciting to work with and can become a top, top striker. He’s got frightening pace. He’s become stronger and can hold the ball up for us.”
Manchester United travel to Wembley on Sunday to face Tottenham in the Premier League looking for their sixth consecutive win under their interim boss.
