Manchester United appear to have won the race to sign Norwegian teenager Isak Hansen-Aaroen, according to reports.
Aftenposten claim the 14-year-old has already been the subject of discussions between the Red Devils and current club Tromso, and the latter’s director of football, Svein-Morten Johansen, and daily manager, Kristian Høydal, are reported to be travelling to Manchester for further talks.
As Hansen-Aaroen is just 14 he can only sign a pre-contract agreement with United to move on his 16th birthday, but talks are believed to have been progressing well and a deal is said to be close.
The teenage midfielder spent time with the Old Trafford club last year, and has also been watched by United’s Premier League rivals Liverpool and Everton.
He had a trial at Liverpool in October 2017 after being scouted playing at the Audi Cup in Denmark.
The youngster is claimed to be a Manchester United supporter and his ‘dream’ of playing for the Red Devils will come true.
