West Ham United star Declan Rice celebrated his match-winning display against Arsenal by joining fans in the pub.
Rice was Man of the Match in their 1-0 victory at the London Stadium thank to his imperious performance in the middle of the park and his excellently taken goal.
And after netting his first senior strike in a brilliant victory he ventured into a local boozer and took some time out with Hammers fans who were happy to toast him.
Rice has been catching the attention of several top clubs, including Manchester City and even though he’s just signed a new long-term deal with West Ham he remains a wanted man.
He’s also involved in an international tug-of-war with England desperate to land the midfielder ahead of the Republic of Ireland, for whom he has already made three friendly appearances.
On talkSPORT, Hammers legend Alvin Martin compared Rice to former England and Manchester United superstar Rio Ferdinand who also started his career in east London.
“Declan looks a high calibre player,” he said.
“This doesn’t please me to say this but I think now the bigger clubs in the division will be looking at him and thinking ‘he will fit in to our team’ – a team that’s looking to win the title.”
