Graeme Souness sent Twitter into meltdown after heaping praise on Paul Pogba during half time of the game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Manchester United midfielder played a perfectly weighted pass into the path of Marcus Rashford to open the scoring at Wembley.
While half of the Red Devils team went to celebrate with the England international, the other half congratulated Pogba for his moment of magic.
As the half time analysis in the Sky Sports studio began, fans eagerly awaited to hear what Souness had to say about the World Cup winner.
Never one to mince his words, the Liverpool legend has regularly used his air time to challenge Pogba to deliver on a more consistent basis.
However, he was actually very complimentary about United and their star midfielder.
“United have been fabulous,” he said. “Rock solid defensively, midfield don’t have any passengers and up front they have been really threatening on the break.
“A really, really good team effort in that 45.”
He even described the goal as ‘classic counter-attacking football’ and fans could not believe how nice he was being to Pogba.
