Chelsea and West Ham target Callum Wilson NOT for sale, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists

Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson is not for sale at any price amid interest in the forward from London rivals Chelsea and West Ham United.

This is according to Eddie Howe, the Bournemouth manager, who insists it remains business as normal on the south coast with Wilson unaffected by the speculation.

“I’ve been told about the speculation, it’s not something I seek to read,” he said.

“It’s a waste of time for me to do so. It’s business as normal; Callum has been bright and bubbly this week so no problems there.

“In my opinion, and it’s just my opinion, I wouldn’t sell at any price but I’m the manager of the team trying to create the best team that I can.”

The 26-year-old, who has netted nine times in the Premier League this season, has been linked with a move to the capital over the past couple of weeks.

Chelsea are believed to be interested in Wilson as Maurizio Sarri seeks to solve the Blues’ ongoing striker problems, while West Ham were linked with him following rumours of Marko Arnautovic potentially departing the London Stadium for China.

However, Wilson is considered one of Bournemouth’s best players and Howe wants to keep him around to ensure the Cherries continue to move forward.
