Liverpool could miss out on transfer target Munas Dabbur as he closes in on a transfer to Valencia, according to reports in Spain.
The Israeli striker has been in stunning form for Red Bull Salzburg and is currently top goalscorer in the Europa League with six goals in six games.
Dabbur, 26, also has nine league goals in 18 T-Mobile Bundesliga appearances having netted 29 across all competitions last season.
Prolific spells in his homeland and Switzerland proceeded his time in Austria but now he could be set for a move to team in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Liverpool have interest in the player as they look to overhaul their fringe players with Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge possibly on their way out.
But, according to Estadio Deportivo, it is Valencia who are closest to signing Dabbur and he appears to know he’s on his way.
“I’m going to leave Salzburg in the next few days,” he is claimed to have said to the media.
