Fabio Coentrao set to leave Monaco

According to our colleagues at M365, AS Monaco are preparing for next season without Fabio Coentrao, the left-back who joined the Principality side from Real Madrid in the summer on loan with an option to buy.

Coentrao was brought into replace Layvin Kurzawa who joined PSG in the summer, but the Portuguese international has failed to make an impact for Leonardo Jardim’s men, struggling with fitness and motivation issues.

It is our understanding that Elderson is also an individual that Jardim wants rid of before the beginning of next season, meaning that Monaco are on the market for two left-backs during this summer’s transfer window.
