Official | Loick Landre joins Genoa

RC Lens today confirmed that defender Loïck Landre has left the club to join Serie A club Genoa.

The 24-year-old joins the Italian club on a three-year-deal for an undisclosed fee, and will join Genoa immediately. He joins the club in 14th place, safe from relegation but too far away to challenge for any European places.

Landre has only made one appearance this season for Lens in Ligue 2, which was the first game of the season away at Niort where he actually captained the side, but a move away from France could do the Frenchman the world of good.

The defender worked his way through the youth ranks at Paris Saint Germain and spent several years out on loan at Clermont Foot and most recently Gazelec Ajaccio. Landre made 124 appearances for his four clubs in France and will hope that he can excel across the border in Serie A.
