Ravindra Jadeja takes a dig at fans with ‘most valuable asset’ tweet

Ravindra Jadeja’s crucial all-round performance for CSK against GT in IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 earned him the award for most valuable asset after the game.

Jadeja’s performance played a pivotal role in CSK’s win as he scored a quickfire 22 off 16 and with the ball, Jadeja was equally formidable picking up 2/18 in four overs.

His pinpoint left-arm spin bowling unsettled the GT batsmen, leading to critical wickets at key stages of the game.

But after the match, Jadeja took a fresh jibe through another post on Twitter.

Jadeja and Maheesh Theekshana were the ones who squeezed the runs in the middle overs as they found plenty of help off the wicket before Rashid Khan hit a rapid 30 off 16 balls to narrow down the defeat.

Earlier, a day after Chennai Super Kings’ emphatic win over the Delhi Capitals which sealed their spot in the play-offs, Jadeja sent Twitter into overdrive when he posted a cryptic tweet about karma.

“Karma will get back at you, sooner or later it surely will,” said the post Jadeja shared on Twitter, captioning it “Definitely” with a thumbs up emoji.

Jadeja and cryptic tweets are nothing new. In 2013, he had tweeted lines that were credited to American rapper Eminem. “Don’t even try and judge me dude. You have no idea what the f*ck I’ve been through.” The following year, he posted, “Need new haters, the old ones are starting to like me.”

After he was retained by Chennai in December 2022 before the IPL mini auction, he had said on Twitter, “Everything is fine #RESTART” with a picture of himself and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
