After an exceptional loan spell with Brittany club EA Guingamp, SL Benfica’s full-back Marçal has been the subject of a second loan bid by Antoine Kombouaré’s men for next season, according to L’Équipe.

SL Benfica do not intend to keep the man despite his excellent season & Marçal has recently changed agents to allow Jorge Mendes to take control of his transfer situation.
AS Monaco have identified Marçal as a potential replacement for Benjamin Mendy, despite the fact that they currently have no plans to sell the French international this summer.
Marçal would like to remain in France, but the €5m price-tag on his head is too much for EA Guingamp to stomach. They expect their renewed loan bid to fail. The Brazilian has very much launched himself on the European stage.
