Montpellier have secured their second signing of the January transfer window with the arrival of Serbian midfielder Mihailo Ristić.
The central midfielder, who can also operate as a left-back, moves to the Stade de la Mosson following an unhappy loan spell with Czech side Sparta Prague last season, having previously played for FC Krasnodar and Red Star Belgrade, where Ristićin fact played with Damien le Tallec, who he will now be reunited with at the current fifth-placed side in Ligue 1.
The 23-year-old follows Argentine forward Matías Suárez in signing for Michel Der Zakarian’s side this winter transfer window, as Montpellier seek to reinforce their squad depth to maintain their excellent domestic campaign this season.
Ristić expressed his delight in securing the transfer in a statement on the club website:
