Having lost three first team centre-backs this summer, Julien Stéphan’s Strasbourg may yet loose a fourth before the window is out.
Defensive leader, the highly-regarded Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku is, once again, interesting Stéphan’s former club Rennes, according to Foot Mercato.
Having signed from Caen in 2019, Djiku has a long list of Ligue 1 admirers according to Foot Mercato and Rennes are keen to add the 27-year-old defender to an impressive list of big money summer additions including midfielder Baptiste Santamaria (26) and fellow centre-back Loïc Badé (21).
Djiku’s current deal in Alsace expires in 2023.
