Foot Mercato report today that in-form Lens midfielder Seko Fofana has attracted interest from a range of clubs around Europe after his team’s impressive start to the season so far.
Marseille had looked to sign the 26-year-old this summer, to no avail. The Ivory Coast international is expected to stay at the club this winter as well, and is said to be very attached to the club and its project.
Overall, among the clubs keeping tabs on Fofana are Newcastle, Marseille, Milan and Atalanta – as well as other clubs in England. Nevertheless, a winter move is unlikely, with Lens not necessarily in need of the money, and are expected to turn down any offers unless a large bid comes in.
The former Udinese man is at the heart of Franck Haise’s game plans, as the Sang et Or sit second in the league, and is under contract until the end of the 2023/24 season.
