L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Lyon have recently declined a request made by Chelsea to recall Italian international left-back Emerson Palmieri.
The 27-year-old is on loan with an option to buy and CFC do not have a formal recall clause in the agreement.
CFC are seeking left-back cover following a major injury to Ben Chilwell and are keen on signing French international Lucas Digne from Everton.
