In an interview with Téléfoot, Marseille midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi (23) said that he is sure that Arsenal defender William Saliba (21) will return to the Orange Vélodrome next season.
Having spent 2021/22 on loan at Marseille, Saliba has previously confirmed that he will be returning to Arsenal for pre-season, in preparation for spending next season with Mikel Arteta’s side. “I belong to Arsenal, I still have two years left there. I will be there for pre-season,” Saliba told Téléfoot last week.
However, Guendouzi, who also made the switch from the Emirates to the Orange Vélodrome said, “William (Saliba) now has Marseille in his heart, and I’m sure that he’ll come back to Marseille next season. So I’m going to keep pushing so that he stays with us.”
Speaking on his first season at Marseille, Guendouzi said, “I couldn’t have hoped for a better season than the one that I spent with Marseille. With the French national team as well, it is quite simply my best season as a professional.”
