As reported by Foot Mercato, Real Madrid are close to an agreement to sign Aurélien Tchouameni from Monaco.
The fee is set to reach €100m including bonuses for the 22-year-old midfielder with the two clubs still discussing the final details in the last few hours, which should be finalised in the next few days. The €80m Madrid bid reported yesterday did not meet Monaco’s demands.
PSG, however, are falling behind in the race to sign the player. Despite talks being opened with the player’s entourage, Paris are yet to submit an offer to Monaco with PSG’s new sporting director Luis Campos already considering a plan B.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are said to be out of the running entirely at this stage and are already turning to other options in their pursuit of a midfielder.
