Mohamed Toubache-Ter is reporting that Clermont Foot striker Mohamed Bayo (24) is set to arrive in Lille on Monday to finalise a move to the former Ligue 1 champions.
According to previous reports from Foot Mercato, the fee is thought to be in the region of €10-€11m. Unless there is a change in situation, Bayo will now fly in to finalise his move on Monday.
The Clermont academy product had an explosive first season in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 14 goals in 32 appearances. It had previously been reported that Clermont were looking for a €14m fee, whilst speaking to RMC, Bayo himself has said that a transfer this summer would be a “logical step” in his career.
Since Paulo Fonseca’s appointment as Lille manager last week, the club have begun to advance transfer plans. The club are also reportedly on the brink of completing a move for Rémy Cabella (32), who only rejoined former club Montpellier in April. The Frenchman is currently undergoing his medical in Paris, according to Toubache-Ter.
