As we noted over the weekend, former Impact Wrestling Champion Alberto El Patron was released from Impact after he no-showed two weekend events, one being the big Impact vs Lucha Underground special on Friday night.

Following El Patron no-showing the second event of the weekend, Impact decided to release him, and at one point there was reportedly great concern amongst Impact officials for El Patron’s well-being with the company nearly calling the police to check on him. While some sources in Impact are claiming El Patron reached out to Impact to inform them he was sick, the feeling amongst those in the locker room is that he blew off the weekend events.
Impact Wrestling has since released the above promo video for this week’s episode of Impact, promising to address the company’s decision to release El Patron.
