According to PWInsider.com, current WWE United States Champion Jeff Hardy is backstage at the WWE Smackdown Live tapings in Providence.

Hardy being present at the tapings could be an indication that WWE plans to move him over to Smackdown in order to keep the U.S. Title on the Blue Brand, considering the Intercontinental Title is held by Seth Rollins on Raw.
As noted, Hardy is scheduled to defend his newly won title against Jinder Mahal at Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27th, and if Jinder wins, then the title change on Raw this week will have been done simply as a big opening surprise on Raw this week.
