Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has announced the first twelve competitors for the 2018 Battle of Los Angeles tournament, taking place at the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles from September 14-16th.
From the looks of things, PWG is ditching the “indie super card” concept where last year they had pretty much every top indie wrestling from around the world competing, and instead mixing a few regulars in with a host of excellent international talents and up-and-coming acts that can really benefit from the exposure that BOLA will bring them.
The Battle of Los Angeles has become the premiere wrestling tournament of the U.S. indie scene, due in part to the incredible level of matches they have become famous for, their insanely rowdy crowds, and the promotion’s uncanny ability to hand-pick future megastars. Past winners include Davey Richards, Kenny Omega, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Kyle O’Reilly, Marty Scurll, Adam Cole and Zack Sabre Jr.
