Taya Valkyrie made a surprise appearance on this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling in Mexico City, delivering a message to Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard via pre-recorded video.
Valkyrie, who hasn’t been seen in an Impact ring since April, made her career working in Mexico and is actually the longest reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion in history. The Lucha Underground star received a great ovation from the fans for her appearance, despite not being able to appear live because of a previous commitment, and issued a challenge for Blanchard’s Impact Knockouts Champion.
Tessa has officially accepted the challenge, and the title match has been confirmed for next month’s highly anticipated Bound for Glory pay-per-view.
