Another International Star Rumored to be Debuting at AEW Fight for the Fallen

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, 27-year-old joshi stand-out Shoko Nakajima will miss this weekend’s Tokyo Joshi Pro event in Nagoya, as she is expected to make her AEW debut at Fight for the Fallen this Saturday night.

Nakajima is the current top singles championship for Tokyo Joshi Pro, which is the Japanese women’s promotion owned by DDT Pro. She also has experience working with and against Riho and Yuka Sakazaki, who have also appeared in AEW.

Kenny Omega and Brandi Rhodes have been working in collaboration for AEW in scouting for the women’s division, and given Omega’s history with DDT and his knowledge and love of the joshi scene, this should be yet another good get for the fledging promotion as the expand their already impressive international roster.

While a match for Nakajima has yet to be officially announced, it’s worth noting that both Dr. Britt Baker and Bea Priestley have been confirmed to wrestle at Fight for the Fallen on Saturday, and are also currently without an announced match.
