Backstage: Fandango, Layla & Summer Rae Love Triangle Continues
When we return from commercial, we see Fandango walking backstage. Layla walks up to him and asks him what just happened out there. She asks if Fandango is jealous because Dolph and Summer kissed recently. Layla talks about being jealous of Summer. Fandango puts her mind at ease and hugs her. As he does, we see his eyes widen. The camera pans over and we see Summer Rae modeling in the door way.
Bret Hart Punches Out …Bret Hart?
Back live in the arena, Jerry Lawler is in the ring. He introduces Bret “The Hitman” Hart. Hart comes out to a huge response from the Montreal fans.
The fans chant “thank you, Bret!” and he replies by saying “Thank you” in French. He says it’s an honor to be back in Montreal. Bret says if he could lace up his boots just one more time and have one more match, it would be right here in Montreal. He says the fans are giving him goosebumps.
As he continues to talk, he is interupted by his own music. Out comes Damien Sandow dressed up like Bret Hart. I just popped, as did Ryan Clark in the other room.
Sandow talks as if he were Bret, and talks about how he tapped out to “his own” move to “his idol” Shawn Michaels in Montreal.
As he continues to talk, Bret decks Sandow with a huge punch that knocks him out of the ring and out to the floor. Sheamus comes out and we’re informed that Sandow will face him after the break. We head to commercial.
Sheamus vs. Damien Sandow
When we return from commercial, Sheamus is beating down “Damien Sand-hart” in the middle of the ring. This continues for a bit until Sandow finally gets in some offense.
Sandow is eventually cut short by Sheamus, but only temporarily, as he regains control of the offense. He does a lot of Bret Hart trademark spots and moves, but ultimately, eats a Brogue Kick from Sheamus for the 1-2-3.
Winner: Sheamus
The Miz Reads A Letter From Little Johnny Russo
Backstage, Renee Young is with The Miz. Miz reads a letter from a fan who talked about wanting to see The Miz return last week, only to be upset when it was Chris Jericho who showed up to ruin his big return. Miz talks about what would happen to this company, and what the fans would lose, if something happened to The Miz’s face. We head to commercial.
Chris Jericho vs. The Miz
When we return from commercial, Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring to a huge pop. Out next is his opponent for tonight, The Miz.
The bell rings and here we go. The fans immediately break out into loud “Y-2-J” chants. Jericho establishes offensive dominance early on in this match, but Miz eventually dumps him out to the floor to slow down his momentum.
Back in the ring, The Miz takes it to Jericho. Jericho starts making an early comeback. Miz tries to throw him out to the floor again, but this time Jericho holds on and lands on the apron. He leap-frogs back into the ring and splashes onto The Miz.
Jericho goes to follow up, however Miz cuts him off and is now back in control of the match. Miz locks Jericho in the figure four leg lock, but Jericho makes it to the ropes, forcing Miz to break the hold. Miz gets up and starts stomping away at the leg of Jericho. Jericho, out of the blue, scoops Miz’s legs out from underneath him and locks him in the Walls Of Jericho. Miz taps out.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Bray Wyatt Sends A Message To Chris Jericho
After the match, The Wyatt Family cut-in happens. The arena goes dark. When the lights come back on, Bray Wyatt is sitting in his rocking chair. He mockingly tells Jericho that we’re all waiting for him to “save us.” He said he proved that actions speak louder than words. Bray even mocks Jericho’s “never, eeeeever” line.
As Bray goes to sing, Jericho cuts him off and says “would you please shut the hell up.” Jericho says, “quiet, Wyatt.” He agrees that actions speak louder than words. Jericho says it’s just you and me, he’s going to prove it with his actions.
Jericho goes up the ramp to attack Bray and The Wyatt Family cut-in happens again. When the lights come back on, Harper and Rowan are at Bray’s side. Jericho thinks twice about coming up the ramp now. We head to commercial on that note.
The Funkadactyls vs. Paige & AJ Lee
When we return from commercial, The Funkadactyls make their way to the ring for scheduled Divas tag-team action. Out next is former WWE Divas Champion Paige. She takes the mic from Justin Roberts and introduces her own tag-tema partner, AJ Lee. Apparently they’re friends now.
The bell rings and here we go. The match basically has Cameron at ringside while Naomi does all of the work in the ring. When Naomi needs to make a tag, Cameron is nowhere to be found, as she’s busy putting on makeup and whatnot on the apron.
Eventually, Cameron does tag into the match and within seconds eats a Paige-Turner from Paige for the 1-2-3. AJ Lee and Paige win their tag-team debut.
Winners: Paige & AJ Lee
After The Match: Trouble In Paradise
After the match, The Funkadactyls finally go at it. Cameron and Naomi grab a handful of each other’s hair and a cat fight ensues. Cameron walks off with a mean look on her face while Naomi stares her down from ringside. We head to a commercial.
