WWE Rumors: Money in the Bank Matches, Universal Title Plans, Ronda Rousey

The following are from Justin Barrasso’s column at Sports Illustrated. Consider them rumors as his accuracy is often hit-and-miss.

— It is expected that the winner of the men’s Smackdown Money in the Bank match will likely come from Smackdown due to the fact that the current Raw Universal champion, Brock Lesnar, rarely appears on TV let alone defends his title. If that is true, the women’s winner will almost surely be from Raw and Barrasso speculates that someone like Sasha Banks would be a logical choice.

— WWE is likely to transition Roman Reigns away from Jinder Mahal and into the WWE Universal title picture following Money in the Bank and according to his report, Reigns is likely to beat Lesnar for the title at SummerSlam.

— Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax is unlikely to main event Money in the Bank, contrary to some online reports. When WWE does have Rousey main event a PPV, they will no doubt use that as opportunity to promote and build it in a completely different and more significant manner.
