WWE: More on WrestleMania 36, Matt & Jeff Hardy's Status, Kofi Kingston News

— In response to reports suggesting that WrestleMania 36 is headed to Tampa, WWE representatives declined to confirm anything, simply stating that they have “nothing to announce at this time.” However, company sources are privately indicating that WWE has decided on Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium since late last year and will be formally announcing it within the “next two weeks.”

— Matt Hardy made a surprise return to Smackdown last night, teaming up with brother Jeff Hardy in tag team action. Matt has been aggressively rehabbing his back injury and has proclaimed himself to be fully healthy. WWE’s medical staff recently cleared him for action and he is likely going to be wrestling regularly moving forward. On a contract related note, both Matt and Jeff had contracts expiring next month but WWE had an option for another year which they not surprisingly picked up meaning they will be around until at least 2020.

— Despite getting knocked out of the WWE title match at Fastlane in favor of a returning Kevin Owens, a WWE source indicated that Kofi’s work as of late as well as the audience reaction definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed and that there are still big plans for him. The source added that the long term plan for the New Day was always for one member to branch out and get a significant singles push, however, not many expected it to be Kingston.
