Superstar Shakeup Plans, Jericho & Rusev Respond to Match Change

WrestleMania has just wrapped up, and as has become a tradition in WWE, Monday Night Raw and Smackdown the following nights were loaded shows filled with intriguing matches, a rowdy crowd, special returns, and memorable debuts. The likes of Ember Moon, The Authors of Pain, No Way Jose, Peyton Royce, and Billie Kay were called up to the main roster this week while performers such as Bobby Lashley, Samoa Joe, and Jeff Hardy all returned to the ring as well. WWE has adopted another tradition, which is hosting the Superstar Shakeup on Raw and Smackdown the week after those shows. WWE recently confirmed that a Superstar Shakeup will return on Raw and Smackdown next week.
Fans have been left to speculate which WWE Superstars will be traded to which shows, but a few more details about the upcoming events have been provided. A new report from PWInsider states that every top star from Smackdown will be backstage during Raw next week. There is also no live event scheduled for Smackdown that night, thus allowing fans to further speculate that just about any superstar could be traded over to Raw next Monday. Smackdown will also feature switches from Raw the following night. The report also says that the rosters for both shows will begin to look very different after the changes take place. Get ready to see some brand new roster additions during Raw and Smackdown next week.
WWE announced yesterday that The Undertaker will be competing in his first match since WrestleMania at the Greatest Royal Rumble event scheduled to take place later this month. “The Phenom” had originally been set to face Rusev in a Casket Match during the show, but WWE announced that the match has been changed to Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker in a Casket Match. Rusev recently posted a few messages on his Twitter account which may have been referencing his possible disappointment to the match being changed. Jericho also commented on the change to the show by acknowledging that he has defeated “The Deadman” in the past. The Greatest Royal Rumble takes place on April 27th.
