Rich Swann has returned to wrestling in a big way by joining the Impact Wrestling promotion. Swann joined the roster earlier this year not too long after he and WWE parted ways. The former Cruiserweight Champion had been set to take a huge step in his Impact career tonight by partaking in a Fatal 4-Way match against Fenix, Ishimori, and Johnny Impact at Slammiversary tonight, but unfortunately, Swann recently suffered a concussion that will indeed keep him away from the ring for quite a while. As a result, Swannhad been pulled from the pay-per-view tonight, but Impact has just confirmed that Petey Williams will now be taking Swann’s place in the 4-way match during the Slammiversary event later on tonight.

One of the fastest rising homegrown stars in the WWE Performance Center right now has got to be Lars Sullivan. Sullivan has been dominating in NXT and he also recently faced Aleister Black for the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover: Chicago. Sullivan lost the match and suffered a broken jaw during the match that has kept him out of action ever since (although it was later reported that this was a kayfabe injury.) Regardless, it appears that Sullivan is now back in action. Sullivan made a surprise return during a NXT live event in Ocala, Florida when he defeated Dan Matha with the Freak Accident. It hopefully won’t take long now for Sullivan to make his return to the NXT TV show.

Although NXT is still viewed as WWE’s developmental show, the program arguably features a great deal of talent with a fair amount of star power as well. Before NXT truly took off as a unique and special entity of WWE, it was common for Superstars from the main roster to work with the aspiring talents in matches that would later air on the NXT television series. It may be easy to forget that truly established names such as Randy Orton have wrestled in NXT before, but luckily, WWE just released a video on their YouTube channel reminding fans of five WWE performers from the main roster who stopped by Orlando’s Full Sail University to compete in a match in NXT.
