RAW Results 4/15: Superstar Shakeup Night 1

Heel Shane then dumps on Quebecois French before they continue, and Steph introduces the concept of the Superstar Shake-Up. She goes to make the first pick when… The Miz blind sides Shane and starts beating the crap out of him. 
Shane launches Miz into the ring post and rallies with punches to The A-Lister against the barricade before sending him into the crowd with a clothesline. Miz arms himself with a chair and nails Shane with it, hammering him back into the ring and pounding away at him.

We get a video recapping Seth Rollins’ victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship. We also get an announcement that The Beast Slayer and Roman Reigns will get a mystery partner from SmackDown later tonight.

Ricochet makes his entrance and we’re informed he and his partner, Aleister Black, are officially on Raw now.

RAW Tag Champs Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins and Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. The Revival and The Viking Experience (formerly War Raiders)
Curt Hawkins and Scott Dawson start us off/ Curt hits an arm drag into an armbar, arm wringer, tag to Ryder, double team combo gets only a 1 count. Arm wringer, Ricochet tags in, arm wringer, wrenching away, tag to Black, Wilder tags in and the Dutchman arm drags everyone until Dash Wilder nails him with a stiff right! Tag to Hanson/Ivar, clubbing away, stomping, falling forearm, tag to Dawson and he tears at Black’s mouth.

Handful of hair, tag to Wilder, Ricochet’s back in, dropkick, front chancery, tag to Aleister again, and then all eight men are in the ring as chaos ensues. Back body drops for the Revival, fending off The Viking Experience as we go to break.

Erik/Raymond Rowe is in control of Hawkins as we return, tag to Hanson, whip into a knee, cover for two. Ray legal again, kneeling over-the-shoulder armbar, Curt to his feet and clearing house with punches but Rowe blasts him with a lariat! Tag to Warbeard, wristlock, arm wringer, short-arm shoulder block, tag to Wilder. In with stomps, tag to Dawson, wrenching at Hawkins’ head, tag to Wilder, double-team for a nearfall.

Back to the neck crank, tag back to Dawson but Curt tags Ryder in! Hot with forearms, whip reversed, knees up in the corner and a flapjack! Leaping forearm, repeated forearms, Black and Ricochet clear The Viking Experience out and Zack dropkicks both Revivals to the floor. Dawson tags Rowe in, Ryder doesn’t miss a beat, Rough Ryder, but Wilder makes the save!

Into the “everybody do something cool” section of the match, Ricochet Frankensteiners Dawson to the floor over the ropes, kickflip moonsault, Warbeard with a cartwheel lariat that takes Hawkins down! Viking Experience gets Curt to the floor, Rowe with a judo throw into a hard knee strike, tag made…and The Viking Experience hits Fallout on Ryder for the victory. 

Winners: The Revival and The Viking Experience 
In a video highlight reel, we learn that former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander has been acquired by RAW.

Intercontinental Champ Finn Balor makes his entrance. He’ll be taking on an opponent making his RAW debut that the McMahons hand-picked when we return from the break. 

Non-Title Match
Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor vs. Andrade
We welcome El Tranquilo and Zelina Vega for their RAW debut as we return from commercials. Both of those Superstars are now on the RAW brand (can Charlotte be far behind?) 
Vega grabs the microphone on the ramp and introduces them. She also drags Balor for being ordinary. She rants about Andrade being extraordinary on the blue brand for the past year. Andrade barks out Spanish as he gets in the ring, receiving the “What?!” chants and boos from fans. Andrade opens up by dropping Balor with an uppercut and kicks him in the corner. Vega cheers from ringside. Andrade keeps up the attack with a running double knees and covers up for a 2 count.

Back and forth action ensues as Finn fights for the momentum now. The champ sends Andrade to the floor and dropkicks him through the ropes. Balor misses a kick attempt off the apron as Andrade puts Vega in front of him to serve as a human shield. Balor keeps from nailing Vega as Andrade takes advantage by dropping Balor to the floor.

Andrade opens up the offense on Finn in the corner. Balor dodges the running knees. Balor beats Andrade down in the corner and kicks him in the face. More back and forth. Andrade goes for the injured knee again as Balor goes for an enziguri with Andrade up top. Andrade brings Balor to the mat but Balor counters and slams him to the mat for a close 2 count. Vega continues to cheer Andrade on. Balor with a Slingblade. Andrade delivers a big kick to the head for a close 2 count. Andrade goes to the top for a moonsault but he has to land on his feet. He follows through with another but Balor gets his knees up. Balor ends up dropping Andrade near the corner. Balor goes up for Coup de Grace but Andrade sweeps his leg.

Andrade runs into a kick in the corner and he goes down. Balor goes to the top for Coup de Grace but Andrade moves out of the way. Andrade with a big back elbow. Balor counters the Hammerlock DDT with a roll up for a 2 count. Balor sends Andrade to the floor. Vega gets on the apron and taunts Balor for boos. Balor runs the ropes anyway and leaps over Vega, taking Andrade down on the floor. Vega ends up taking Balor down with a hurricanrana while the referee isn’t looking. This leads to Andrade hitting the Hammerlock DDT for the 1-2-3.
Winner: Andrade
Vega and Andrade go through their heel poses in the post-match celebration in the ring. El Tranquilo relishes the victory as Balor is left reeling. 
Ladies and Gentlemen, Elias will be up when we return from break. We get reminders of what he’s been up to lately with still shots of the appearances by John Cena’s “Dr. of Thuganomics” and The Undertaker last week. Who will stomp on Elias this week?

Ladies and Gentlemen, Elias… Rey Mysterio? Lars Sullivan?
Elias says his music is so powerful it brought back legends like Cena and Taker. Fans break out with Taker chants and Elias says he will be ready for The Deadman next time. Elias says The Dr. of Thuganomics and Taker are jealous of him, and theydon’t want to face it that WWE stands for Walk With Elias. The Montreal crowd throws some heat Elias’ way. He attempts to start playing his latest song, but is interrupted by yet another legend – The Master of the 619. Fans chant for Rey Mysterio as he and Elias get to it. Elias ends up retreating as Rey is announced as a new member of RAW.

Rey celebrates in the ring until he is interrupted by Snitzky 2.0, Lars Sullivan. Snitzky/Lars manhandles Rey some but Mysterio fights to get free. Rey keeps reversing out of Sullivan’s holds until Lars finally drives him into the mat with the Freak Accident. Lars goes to punish Rey again and delivers a big sitdown powerbomb. Sullivan then does his madman routine as he stands over Rey to send us to replays.

The Usos vs. Chad Gable & Bobby Roode
As we return from break, Heel Gable and Heel Roode are finishing up their “Glorious” entrance. Roode snatches up the mic and tells us that he and Gable can take any tag team in the WWE. He issues a challenge to face any team. Out comes the newest acquisitions by RAW, Jimmy and Jey Uso, the former four-time SmackDown Live Tag Team champions. 
Gable and Jimmy open up. Fans are firmly behind The Usos. Jey tags in and drops Roode from the ring apron, then takes out Gable. Roode provides a distraction from the floor, allowing Gable to ambush Jey from behind. Gable knocks Jey to the floor and Roode decks him when the referee wasn’t looking. Roode becomes the legal man and launches Jey into the barrier. Gable talks trash to Jey while he’s down.

Roode brings Jey back into the ring for a 2 count. Roode mounts Jey and pounds away. Gable tags back in and keeps Jey down with a submission as fans try to rally for The Usos. Gable comes back in and keeps Jey down. Jimmy finally gets the tag as Gable comes back in. Jimmy unloads and hits the Samoan Drop. Jimmy with a running shot into the corner for a close 2 count. Jimmy runs into a big uppercut. Gable ends up applying an armbar on the ropes, testing the 5 count by the referee. Roode tags in for a double team Blockbuster on Jimmy for a close 2 count.

Roode and Gable tag in for the double team but it backfires. Uso misses a superkick and Gable rolls him up for 2. Jey tags back in but Gable doesn’t see it. Gable eats a superkick. Jey also superkicks Roode off the apron. Gable takes a double superkick from The Usos. The Usos go to opposite corners and hit the big double Superfly Splash on Gable for the pin to win.

“A Moment of Bliss” with Special Guest Sami Zayn 
Alexa welcomes us to the Superstar Shakeup episode of “A Moment of Bliss.” She says that she wanted to give us a proper farewell in French if this ends up being her last night on RAW. So, she booked Montreal’s own Sami Zayn for her interview. Bliss introduces The Underdog from the Underground and out he comes to a pop, playing up to the ovation from the fans.

Zayn and the crowd had so much fun with his entrance that repeat it. Sami takes a bow as fans continue singing his entrance theme. Fans chant for Sami as his music stops and he takes his seat. They start the music up again and Sami gets into it once again, as does the crowd. Sami refers to the crowd as “fish in a barrel” and shows how he can keep controlling them, saying he could do this all night. Bliss says she can speak for everyone in the crowd when she says it’s fantastic to have him back on RAW. Sami talks about spending the past week in Montreal and says he absolutely loves the city. The city is great, it’s just the people that he can’t stand. That elicits some boos for Zayn.

Zayn says he really didn’t want to be on RAW tonight and he didn’t want to appear on A Moment of Bliss, no offense. Bliss snipes back that he’s rude. Zayn says 9 months ago he would have been excited to come on the show, but now the fan ovations make him sick. Fans then start raining down anti-Zayn chants now. Sami says the fans project their un-addressed issues, their failures and angers, onto him, and he’s no longer accepting it. Zayn says it’s the fans should be ashamed of themselves. Bliss mocks and taunts Sami for trying to blame everything on the people. Sami corrects her and says he was born here, but these people in the crowd are not his people. Sami says he doesn’t even live in Montreal anymore. He moved on to Florida. Zayn says he left Montreal before, and he’s going to do it again right now. Fans start singing “goodbye!” at Zayn now. “Yeah, see ya in hell,” he responds. Zayn walks off as we go to commercial.

Women’s Tag Champs The IIconics Harass Bayley
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics are in the ring. They can cross brands due to having the titles, so they are not officially part of RAW.

A WWE.com exclusive report shows Bayley trying to get in touch with Sasha Banks. However, her efforts failed, so Billie Kay and Peyton Royce make fun of her. Bayley says she’ll find another partner.
Non-Title Match 
Women’s Tag Champs The IIconics vs. Bayley & Naomi 
WWE announces Naomi as a new member of the RAW roster (a formality since her husband Jimmy was put on RAW earlier). 
Bayley unloads on Kay to start. Corey Graves does his usual bit attacking Banks. Bayley takes Kay to the corner and in comes Naomi off the tag. Peyton ends up trying to rally and keeps Naomi grounded in the middle of the ring.

Ruby takes her time and goes back to the top but is forced to roll through. Becky goes right into the Disarm Her submission but Liv and Logan make the save. Becky flies out of the ring to take Liv and Logan down. They bring it back into the ring and Becky blocks a strike from Riott. Becky takes Riott right down into the Disarm Her for the submission win.
Winner: Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch
Logan and Morgan try to ambush Becky after the match, but the champ champ easily takes both of them out. She raises her title belts to a pop from the crowd. 
Backstage with Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush
Charly Caruso is backstage with the heels as Corbin says he hopes she gets sent to SmackDown. Corbin brags about chasing Hall of Famer Kurt Angle out of WWE. McIntyre says he wants to get his hands on Roman Reigns. The heels vow to take out The Universal Champ, Reigns and their mystery partner as they stomp off. 
The camera pans back to the ring with the champ champ still celebrating as old Lynch rival from SmackDown, Natalya, comes out before we head to break. 

Natalya and Lacey Evans Confront RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch
Natalya joins The Man in the ring. Nattie congratulates the champ champ on all of her success. Last week, she heard Lynch say she had to sleep with one eye open. Natalya says that she’s the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be and she’s coming after Bex for the RAW gold.

Lynch says she spent years in the trenches with a lot of overlooked women, just like Natalya. The second she held the titles over her head, The Man knew the overlooked women would want to take their shot. To take over, you have to take out the one atop the mountain. Lynch and Natalya traveled the world together as teenagers, looking to fight anyone to get their foot in the door. Now, look at how far they’ve come. A “You deserve it” cry fires up from the crowd.

Lacey Evans’ music cuts Lynch off (because The Man can never finish a promo without an interruption these days). The Lady of WWE says she admires Nattie, but the RAW Women’s title could never be around the waist of a has-been. A lady knows how to curry favor and use her influence to get what she wants. Now that she is officially on Monday Night RAW, she wants to be the RAW champion. Evans says she has the authority, per The McMahons, to take on Natalya in a No. 1 Contender match. The winner gets the first crack at Lynch. Evans declares she will teach Natalya about a Woman’s Right. Lynch should pay attention. A lady can teach a man a thing or two.

No. 1 Contender Match
Natalya vs. Lacy Evans
Evans misses a splash in the corner and Natalya slingshots her to the mat. Natalya with more offense and the low dropkick Natalya goes on and tosses Evans out of the ring to the floor. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Evans has Natalya down, taunting her and talking trash. Natalya pushes her over and goes for the Sharpshooter. Evans ends up on the floor. Natalya follows and slaps her in the face. They come back into the ring and Natalya takes her to the corner, unloading with strikes. Natalya goes face-fist into the turnbuckles. More back and forth in the corner as Becky looks on.

Evans takes Natalya to the mat and keeps her grounded now. Natalya fights up but Evans takes her right back down and drops a knee. Natalya counters a suplex with a roll-up for a 2 count. Evans takes Natalya back down and drives elbows into her. Natalya finally powers out and drops Evans as the “boring!” chants began. Natalya applies another Sharpshooter and tightens the hold as Evans goes for the bottom rope. Evans gets the bottom rope and the hold is broken.

They go back to the floor and Natalya drives Evans into the barrier, having words with her. Evans goes back into the ring and Natalya follows. Evans catches Natalya in the face with the Woman’s Right and lays her out. Evans goes to the top and hits an impressive moonsault for the pin to become the new #1 contender to the RAW Women’s Title.
Winner: Lacey Evans is the No. 1 Contender to the RAW Women’s Championship
Backstage with Rollins and Reigns
Charly Caruso is backstage to interview Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Caruos inquires about their tag team partner. Rollins is going to reveal who it is, but Reigns tells Caruso that she has to wait, just like everybody else. Rollins says they haven’t forgotten about what The Almighty did to Dean Ambrose in Brooklyn last week. They vow to tear down the house in Montreal because one or both of them could be gone from RAW after tonight. 

Drew McIntyre’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to compete in tonight’s main event.

A creepy dollhouse is shown before we see a rocking horse rocking back and forth. Then, we see a rocking chair with a ventriloquist dummy sitting in it. The dummy starts to laugh before the shot ends.

Universal Champ Seth Rollins, AJ Styles & Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley with Lio Rush and Baron Corbin 

We finally get confirmation that The Phenomenal One is now a part of RAW. Bobby Lashley starts against Seth Rollins. Lashley punches him to the corner, but Rollins fights out. Roman Reigns tags in, and they hit Lashley with a double-team wishbone split. Reigns punches Lashley to the corner, and AJ Styles tags in. Styles punches away at Lashley, but he’s powered to the corner. Baron Corbin tags in, and Styles chops him. An “AJ Styles” chant picks up. Styles leapfrogs Corbin and connects with a dropkick. Drew McIntyre tags in, and he points at Reigns. Styles tags Reigns in.

Reigns comes in and punches McIntyre. McIntyre quickly kicks him, but Reigns comes back with an uppercut. Reigns clubs away at him in the corner before hitting the ropes, but McIntyre counters with a belly-to-belly overhead suplex. McIntyre connects with the Glasgow Kiss for a near fall. McIntyre catches him with a suplex for a two count. McIntyre grounds and pounds him before throwing him out of the ring. Corbin tags in, and he backs Reigns into the barricade. Corbin whips him into the barricade, and McIntyre talks a little trash to Reigns. Corbin gets him in the ring and hits a chokeslam backbreaker for a near fall. We go to break. 
Back from break, we see Reigns punch Corbin back and tag Rollins in. Rollins hits Corbin with a springboard forearm and a Sling Blade. Rollins hits McIntyre with a plancha before covering Corbin with a two count. Rollins superkicks Corbin before kicking him in the midsection. Corbin quickly gets out of the ring. Rollins goes for a suicide dive, but Corbin forearms him. Corbin catches him with a slam for a two count. Corbin punches him to the corner and puts him on the top rope. Rollins fights off a superplex and boots him back. Rollins hits a blockbuster, and they’re both down.

Styles and Lashley are tagged in. Styles punches away at him before taking him down with a clothesline. Styles knocks McIntyre off the apron and lifts Lashley, but Lashley slides off. Styles quickly comes back with an overhead kick on Lashley. Corbin runs in and meets the same fate. Styles sets up for a Styles Clash, but McIntyre catches him with a Claymore Kick. Reigns runs in to give McIntyre a Superman Punch, but McIntyre counters into an overhead suplex. Rollins quickly superkicks McIntyre. Reigns then hits McIntyre with a Superman Punch. Reigns hits Corbin with a Drive-By Dropkick. Rollins then hits him with a suicide dive. Styles sets up for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Lio Rush grabs the feet. Lashley slams Styles, but Rollins breaks it up with a Stomp! Reigns connects with a Spear on Lashley, and Styles follows up with the Phenomenal Forearm for the win.
