Backstage Update on Chris Jericho Possibly Wrestling For Impact

There is a lot of people in the business who believe that Chris Jericho is “destined” to end up with Impact Wrestling in the future. While Jericho has initially declined any offers in North America because he didn’t want to upset Vince McMahon out of his respect for The WWE Chairman, that feeling has subsided considerably over the last couple of months.
Jericho had previously helped Anthem CEO Leonard Asper, who is also a Winnipeg native, sort out management roles and issues with Impact Wrestling. Jericho also suggested Don Callis for Impact Wrestling Management Position and helped Scott D’Amore receive a promotion as he felt that Impact Wrestling needed more capable people running it. With the company’s influence increasing due to the help of Chris Jericho, it has led to several speculations that sooner or later, Jericho himself will be wrestling there despite his previous statement that he wouldn’t compete with other companies in North America because it would be a “slap in the face” to Vince McMahon.
