Comparing these stats it’s a bit surprising that Russia is the best receiving and the worst spiking team, but “Sborna” compensates it by strong, tough to receive serves and high aggresive block. It should be enough to beat Serbia. Second match should be more exciting, because both teams are quite equal. Bulgarian weakness is their reception, if “Azzuri” use it, they can win this battle, but they shouldn’t forget about Sokolov. Stopping this player will be a key here. Russia is for me first candidate to final, the second one is for me mystery, I won’t be disappointed, no matter who becomes second finalist.

CEV probably will use old award ceremony system (rankings for these awards are above). Choosing best line-up and most valuable player, contenders for these nominations are:
MVP: Tsvetan Sokolov/Ivan Zaytsev/Nikolay Pavlov/Dimitriy Muserskiy/Aleksandar Atanasijevic (depends on winner, though no matter who wins, the strongest candidate is Sokolov, who’s leading player here)
Best Opposite: Tsvetan Sokolov/Luca Vettori/Aleksandar Atanasijevic/Nikolay Pavlov (I’d choose Sokolov, he has still high spike efficiency despite high amount of attempts, definitely main contender)
Best Outside Hitters: Ivan Zaytsev/Nikola Kovacevic/Todor Skrimov/Todor Aleksiev/Alexey Spiridonov/Evgeny Sivozhelez (I’d choose Zaytsev and Sivozhelez)
Best Middle Blockers: Dimitriy Muserskiy/Thomas Beretta/Viktor Yosifov/Marko Podrascanin (Muserskiy is definitely the best, as second I’d choose Beretta)
Best Setter: Sergey Grankin/Georgi Bratoev/Nikoa Jovovic/Dragan Travica (I’d choose Grankin)
Best Libero: Teodor Salparov/Salvatore Rossini/Alexey Verbov/Nikola Rosic (I’d choose Verbov)
