Watch Live: Senators Ready For Final Day Of Questioning

The Senate’s impeachment trial of President Donald Trump will reconvene Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Senators will have their second, and final session to ask questions of Trump’s legal team and the Democratic impeachment managers.

Thursday’s session in the Senate chamber will also be the last time party leaders have the chance to sway senators ahead of Friday’s vote on whether to call witnesses and extend the impeachment trial.

Democrats are set to question a broad argument laid out by Alan M. Dershowitz in the opening days of the Senate’s impeachment trial. On the other hand, Trump’s defense team is expected to continue discounting the new information from an unpublished manuscript by John R. Bolton, the former nation security adviser.

The impeachment inquiry centers on whether Trump used the power of his position to solicit a foreign government to influence the 2020 U.S. election. Specifically, he is accused of asking Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in a July 25 phone call to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, now running for president, while withholding nearly $400 million in military aid approved by Congress.
