In yet another incident of animal cruelty in the national capital, a retired IAS officer and his wife encouraged three youth who live as tenants in their house to beating and abduct a stray dog with an intention to kill in Delhi.
A Facebook post revealed that the incident took place on the evening of February 3.
“The incident is of 3rd February evening around 5.30pm to 6.30pm when 3 young unknown males were shifting or visiting house number 8181 when the poor dog, who apparently barked at them became a object of their sadist diabolic wrath. The 3 males started beating the Dog with a stick, when immediately my mother ran out to see what has happened. When my mother went out to rescue the poor Dog, one of the males misbehaved with her. My father (both my parents are senior citizens) was also there who protested the act and tone of the boy. The young adult became aggressive towards my father and asked him to back off and further said that we will kill this Dog. After hearing all the commotion, residents of 8181 came out in their defence and said they are our tenants and this Dog needs to go. When my parents objected, they were overpowered by these young male adults who took the dog in a BORI in a fit of rage. When my parents said we will call the police, they said dont worry, we will take him to an NGO where he will be safe and happy and fled off. Me and my elder brother came back late last night post work when we were apprised of the horrific incident. We decided to ask the Tiwaris about the incident in the morning today of which I have complete audio and video proof.”
