Tamil Nadu government has made it mandatory to pay at least Rs 37 per hour to the domestic help. Otherwise, you may land in jail.
According to a Mirror Now report, the state government has set Rs 37 per hour as the minimum hourly wage for ‘unskilled’ domestic workers. While for semi-skilled workers like cooks and gardeners the wage has been set at Rs 38 per hour. For skilled labour like home nurses, the minimum wage is Rs 39 per hour.
