Newly-elected Delhi University Students’ Union president, Ankiv Baisoya, has landed into controversy after reports say that he has submitted afake university degree to get admission into the DU. He said that he had studied “several types of subjects” at Thiruvalluvar University in Tamil Nadu’s Vellore from 2013 to 2016.
However, he could not recall the names of the subjects and even failed to name any heads of department.
Baisoya is a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s student wing, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). 23-year-old Baisoya had obtained admission in DU in Buddhist studies by submitting mark sheets that are from Thiruvalluvar University.
