The maiden manned flight to Moon, Gaganyaan, will not have any female astronauts. The reason being that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is looking at test pilots from the armed forces and none of them have any women in that post.
An ISRO official told news agency PTI that though women are apparently ruled out of the mission for the moment, civilians, including women, will be part of future manned missions.
